EAA 27TH ANNIVERSARY REGIONAL FLY-IN

Shooting reference angles from the wide open back seat of a Ranger III helicopter, Jones, hovered in the sub-freezing cold just off the wing of the "Hatz Biplane" and Piper Super Cub featured in this years work. With the great help of pilots, Jeff Cain, Maynard Shigley, Bill Mitchell, Ron Macke, and James Mashburn, this air-to-air perspective was developed to give the viewer a true first-hand look at buzzing Front Range Airport's brand new tower, the second tallest in the country.

As a proud member of the EAA; Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 43, Jones, was again happy to create the illustration and design work for the 27th Annual Rocky Mountain EAA Regional Fly-In. The event, held June 25-26, 2005 was another huge success as it marked the second big year held at their new home at Front Range Airport.

If you have any interest in aviation and flying yourself, we encourage you to start by contacting your local EAA chapter. You can find your local chapters through the Web at: eaa.org.
