AVIATION NATION 2005

The 2005 Aviation Nation ad campaign was created for third consecutive year by Joe Jones of Art Works Studio for World of Wings, and Rolls-Royce of North America for National publication use throughout 2005. With this event celebrating the centennial Birthday for the city of Las Vegas, as well as marking this countries first official Vietnam Veteran Welcome Home celebration, this year's flagship cover art had to immediately capture both eye, and imagination.

Among the many featured air show performers, including Captain Nicole Malachowski, the first woman Thunderbird pilot, the croud also witness the appearance of a performer of a different type, original 1969 USO show performer "Anne Margaret" graced the stage once again at the kick-off of the official Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home event. It was powerfully moving experience to witness as she personally greeted a sea of Vietnam Veterans as she shared some magic moments with a crowd of thousands.

Many variations of this art were created to accommodate the mechanical specifications specific to these top aviation magazine publications:
  • AVIATION WEEK AND SPACE TECHNOLOGY
  • FLYING
  • PACIFIC FLYER
  • FLIGHT JOURNAL
  • AIR CLASSIC
  • SPORT AVIATION
  • GENERAL AVIATION NEWS
